Los Angeles based Artist Virgo Phillips, has performed in the US and Canada and has opened up for International Artists such as Snow, Ian Van Dahl, and DJ Sammy to name a few. Virgo has performed under many aliases such as Kathy Phillips, Melanie Flash, K2 Groove, OR2 and Crystal Theory.

Many of her highlighted performances include singing the National Anthems for the NBA games,

the CIBC Annual Run for the Cure and performing at the World Renowned Annual Toronto Pride Parade.

From the age of 9, she was scouted by Young People's Theatre and won several talent shows throughout her teen years. She has a BFA (Specialized Honors Degree) from York University where

she Double Majored in Music and Theatre.

Her first single "I Wish" (under the alias Kathy Phillips) was released in the US with Robbins Entertainment/BMG. Within the first week, Virgo hit the Billboard Charts entering at the #1 spot on

the Maxi CD Single Sales Chart as well as all major record pool charts in America. This sparked interest

in Canada and led Virgo to a National TV Commercial for IBM Computers featuring herself and her hit single "I Wish".  Her follow up single also received praise and heavy Radio play across Dance Music stations in the US with her rendition of the ever popular country song "When You Say Nothing At All” released by the same label giant.

Her 3rd single “Capture" was a heavy radio play favorite across Dance/Pop Radio Stations in Canada, followed by ”Am I Alive" hitting Top 10 on the Dance Music Club charts across the US prompting a demand to press vinyl for the DJs.

One of her many accomplishments is her full length Album written and recorded with the great late,

2 time Academy Award winner Al Kasha. All 12 songs are set to be licensed for Film/TV.

Virgo has lent her vocals on various successful compilations, earning herself 1 Platinum and 3 Gold Records to date. She has had the pleasure of being lead vocalist of the Gold and Platinum selling cardio fitness group "K2 Groove”, lead voice artist for the Fisher Price Little People, lead singer of the Barbie: My Fab Playlist CDs as well as the Monster High Dance Mix Party CD.

Many of Virgo's fans took notice when "Melanie Flash", a new artist emerged from the Dance Music scene in Europe. Virgo is the voice behind Melanie. A project produced by Axel Kondrad who is the lead producer from the top selling International Dance act, "Groove Coverage" from Germany. "Halfway to Heaven" and "One in a Million" proved to be a hit in the UK and Europe with song placement on some

of best selling Trance CD Compilations worldwide.

Virgo's success on the session singing Fitness/Cardio CDs led her to be the lead vocalist on all of the Richard Simmons Fitness CDs and DVDs since 2005. Her latest collaboration with the World Famous Fitness Guru is a full length Album written, arranged and produced with Richard and a recent CD single called "Hair Do", sung by Richard Simmons featuring "Kathy Phillips". The Dance Fitness Anthem has received attention from the press Worldwide and featured on prominent Network TV talk shows

such as Ellen, Dr. Oz, Wendy Williams, Good Morning America, The Today Show, Jimmy Kimmel and Howard Stern.

Aside from her success in Music and Voice Overs, this year proves to be her busiest year yet as Virgo has transitioned back to her Acting roots, booking 1 Feature Film and 4 Short Films that have already made their rounds in the Film Festival circuit.
